Wednesday August 31, 2011……A recent study, conducted by a group of researchers from local and foreign universities, indicated that the powder from papaya leaves has substances responsible for the release and/or production of thrombocytes (platelets).
The study was initiated and led by Dr S. Kathiresan of AIMST University……..
Thursday May 5, 2011……TWENTY-THREE final-year physiotherapy students showed their skills in the first physiotherapy conference at Aimst University in Semeling, near Sungai Petani.
The students, divided into six teams, were given tasks to conduct research on methods that could be explored and used in physiotherapy sessions……..
Monday May 2, 2011……Dr S. Kathiresan of AIMST University has found that durian peel, which is considered as an agricultural waste, can be used to remove oil from water.
The lecturer in the university’s Biotechnology Department said laboratory results indicated that chemically-modified durian peel powder was also an efficient absorbent for recovery of spilled oil in water……..

Tuesday February 24, 2009……STUDENTS wishing to further their studies at AIMST University near Sungai Petani in Kedah should head for the Star Education Fair 2009 at the Penang International Sports Arena this weekend.
The first 100 persons to sign up for the university’s year-long Foundation in Business and Science courses at the fair will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver worth between RM3,750 and RM10,500……..

MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu was conferred the Honorary Degree of Letters during the convocation in recognition of his commitment and achievement in various fields throughout his political career. He was also proclaimed the university’s chancellor……
