Aimst Ponggal Competition 2011

The competition is open for student of all batches and lecturer of all faculty. Pongal in Tamil means “boiling over” or “spill over”. The boiling over of milk in the clay pot symbolizes material abundance for the household. Participant are gathered in front of library building and each team had to compete each other in term of best decoration, fastest ponggal and best taste, with limited materials and firewoods. The clay pot filled with rice and milk is placed on a stone stove. with the lit of the firewoods, the competitions starts and each participant is given a task, to decorate, to control the fire, to mix the ingredients … with one aim of being the best and having fun in the friendly competition.

Fastest ponggal: sunway cleaners
Best taste: faculty of medicine
